This Brooklyn-based duo (Alex Suarez and Ryland Blackinton) released their self-titled debut earlier this year. Fresh and fun, the record is pure summery pop that you will no doubt find yourself dancing along to.
Drawing influence from artists like Simon & Garfunkel and Nick Drake, Ivy League’s music is a striking shift from the pair’s other gig in the synth-driven, pop/rock group Cobra Starship.
This Is Ivy League plays their holiday show tonight at The Bell House in Brooklyn with The New Jerk Times and the Wild Yaks at 10 pm.
